Third foresters' training course in Brdy

In mid-October, another professional training course focused on practical forest management procedures took place as part of the LIFE Adapt Brdy project.

This was already the third training session for technical and economic staff of the Military Forests and Estates, Hořovice division. The training took place on October 15, 2025, in Brdy. The event was attended by forest managers, foresters, and forest assistants from six districts. The all-day program was divided into theoretical and practical parts.

The morning block took place at the House of Nature in Brdy, where participants were introduced to forest management procedures and information about the project. This was followed by an all-day field trip, where practical demonstrations of forestry measures already implemented took place at five stops, with one longer walk after each work block. Discussions focused on stand management, thinning, underplanting, logging, and work in demonstration areas.

During the day, film and photographic material was also collected for a documentary film about the Brdy forests and the LIFE Adapt Brdy project.
