LIFE Project Upscaling Workshop

We are pleased to invite you to the first of a series of LIFE Project Upscaling Workshops within the LIFE Adapt Brdy project, which aims to improve the adaptation of forest ecosystems to climate change. The workshop, which is mainly aimed at sharing experiences with other LIFE projects, will take place on:

Field session:
14:50 Departure to the field (transport provided by the organizer's vehicles)
14:50 – 17:00 Practical demonstrations in the field:
Demonstration area: Showcasing forest stand regeneration methods, including methodology for establishing boundary and maintenance corridors, target diameter at breast height management, and harvesting interventions focusing on stability, structural support, and diverse species composition. Transition to selection-based forest management practices.
Revitalized spring area: Demonstration of individual measures such as shallowing, massive check dams, meandering, restoration of original channels and small tributaries.
Long-term monitoring examples: hydrological, botanical, and initial geological studies.
