Transfer of experience and knowledge to Polish foresters

On June 3-4, 2024, a two-day field excursion was held at VLS ČR, s.p., attended by 45 employees of the Polish State Forests, specifically from the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Szczecin.

The aim of this excursion was to acquaint the attending experts with the LIFE Adapt Brdy project, which focuses on adapting forest stands to climate change and applied principles of close-to-nature forest management. In addition to theoretical information about the project, it was also important to provide the participants with practical experience and knowledge gained during the project so far

During the excursion, the participants visited several selected stands where the principles of close-to-nature management are applied. On request of the participants, priority was given to the pine management demonstration.

Overall, this excursion provided the participants with valuable insights and inspiration.
